Did you know that Sweets Kendamas has a partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation
that plants one tree for every Homegrown Kendama sold? Pretty cool huh? We started our partnership with them in October of last year and we've already planted over 8,000 trees. With every Kendama you purchase you're taking part in creating the next Homegrown forest. Currently the reforestation efforts we are supporting are happening in Michigan. We hope to one day be able to designate our own patch of trees in our home state of Minnesota. To celebrate and bring awareness to the Arbor Day Foundation's cause, we are throwing a photo contest! One lucky winner will be getting a swaggy Homegrown prize pack loaded with HG gear. We like to think that Kendama players have a special appreciation for trees. These toys we love would not be possible if it weren't for the precious wood harvested from them. The main purpose of this photo contest is to spread awareness for the Arbor Day Foundation, and to hopefully help foster a greater appreciation for our earth and mother nature. We're hoping to learn more about your local areas, the trees that inhabit them, and how Kendama connects it all! To enter it's pretty simple: - Follow @arbordayfoundation @sweetskendamas
on Instagram - Take and share a photo on Instagram that features a Tree(s) from your local area. If you don't have trees, anything involving nature works! (April is Earth Month afterall!) - Share some info about the tree/your area and why it's special to you. If you can incorporate Kendama into the description or the picture = BONUS POINTS - Tag @arbordayfoundation @sweetskendamas
in your photo and use the hashtag #HGARBORDAY2016 Entries must be submitted by Midnight on April 28th. We will choose a winner on Arbor Day, April 29th. Prize pack includes: - Franken-Spectra HG ( Grapevine Tama/Tequila Sunrise Spike/Harvest Moon Sarado) - All four HG Bandanas - Maroon HG Beanie - Olive HG 5-Panel - Both pairs of HG Socks - White + Black HG Pocket Tee - Homegrown Towel - Sweets Drawstring Bag If you're wanting to get active and involved on Arbor Day beyond our photo contest, head over to the Arbor Day Website
