The trick below is one that Alex has single handedly made popular in the kendama community. Not a lot of people do it because the setup is really hard. In the video below Alex clearly shows how to pull off this maneuver   

Oke after many questions about how to do a swing UFO i tried to make a INSTA Tutorial , sorry for my crappy english 🙈, step 1 : make a good swing around , step 2: when release the ken let it turn gentle agains clockwise , step 3: when you halfway te swing, turn your handpalm downwards (check how to hold the tama in the clip) step 4: if the ken is back on the the release possition give a short pull by turn your wrist to the outside step 5: focus on the spike and scoop it, good luck all
