Battle at the Border 2017

The Sweets Crew is headed to Battle at the Border hosted by Sol Kendamas this weekend. We will be having Sweets, Norx, Coop, and Parker Johnson packing up into a van to send it on a road trip from Minneapolis, MN to Nashville, TN! The Gallagher boys, Austin Ring, and C. Fraser are also traveling in from their hometowns to attend the first dama event of the new year.

Battle at the Border is an annual kendama event held in Nashville, Tennessee by Kentucky based kendama company, Sol Kendamas. The first event was held in Clarksville, TN on January 7, 2012 in a garage with 10-20 people in attendance. This event was co-organized by The Kensession Stand (Tyler Marshall) and The Kendama Squad (Chad Covington, Nicholas Bellamy, and John Ross Rudolph). The following two years were hosted by Chad Covington in Elkton, Kentucky. Although the competition had been going on for two years, the event wasn't officially named Battle at the Border until 2014. In 2015, Sol Kendamas took over organizing the event, and the competition grew to over 150 people. In 2017, the event is being held on January 7th at The Foundry in Nashville, TN from 11am-6pm.

All levels of kendama skill will have a chance to compete at this event, there will be several categories of competitions to test your skills!
