Cushion Service FAQ

You place an order for our Cushion Service, and we send you packing materials. You then send us a Tama, we Cushion Clear it at our shop, and mail it back to you!

Once we get your item, the process can take anywhere between 4-6 weeks, but we cannot guarantee any specific completion dates and sometimes it can be much faster - the speed at which your tama gets completed depends largely on our current volume and how many other items might be ahead of yours in the queue.

Shipping costs can get complicated with a service like this, so we’ve made things simple with two options - Partial Service and Full Service.

With the Partial option, you mail us your tama with your own materials and shipping label. We will not refund any differences in shipping charges or reimburse for personal postage you select outside our website.

The Full Service includes all of the shipping costs within the price of the Cushion Service - we'll even send you a Return Label and shipping materials so shipping us your tama is a breeze.

The short answer is: yes!

Please note that the more played a tama is, the less of a chance that the process will work and adhere to the ball as intended. By purchasing this service, you accept the risk that the Cushion Clearing Process may not work perfectly with every item received, and we cannot compensate you for any unforeseen circumstances that negatively affect the outcome or the quality of your submitted item.

If you haven’t received your packing materials or any tracking for it yet, we may not have received your submission form yet. When you place an order for the Cushion Service, you will receive a few emails from us - one of those emails is to inform you that your order is “PENDING”, and will also include a link to our Cushion Clear Service Submission Form.

Your order will remain in a “PENDING” status until you complete and submit a response to our Cushion Clear Service Submission Form. Make sure to check your spam folder if you didn’t see our message - if you can’t find that email, contact us at cs@sweetskendamas.com and we can help!

We do our best to review and approve Form Responses at the beginning of each business day. Once a form submission has been reviewed and approved, we do our best to ship out packing materials within the next 24 hours. Once the packing materials have been shipped, you will receive an additional email from us with tracking information included.

We can make that happen!

If you want to order an item and have it Cushion Cleared, add the item to your order, a Cushion Service to your order, and please also include a note in your order before completing the checkout process.

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Disclaimer Agreement: The following legal Disclaimer and Terms & Conditions ("Agreement") govern the use of the Cushion Clearing Service ("Service") provided by Sweets Kendamas ("Company," "we," or "us"). By accessing and using our Service, you ("Customer," "buyer," or "you") agree to be bound by the terms and conditions outlined in this Agreement. If you do not agree with any part of this Agreement, you should not use our Service.

Submission Form and Waiver:
1.1. Upon submitting an order for our Cushion Clearing Service, you will receive an email containing a Submission Form.
1.2. The Submission Form must be fully completed with accurate information regarding the tama to be cleared.
1.3. The waiver included in the email must be agreed to by the customer, acknowledging the risks associated with the Cushion Clearing Process outlined here.

Shipment:
2.1. After we receive the completed Submission Form, we will ship the necessary materials to you within a reasonable time frame (if Full Service option is selected).
2.2. The Full Service shipment will include a flatpack box, an instruction pamphlet, a Bubble Mailer, and a Return Mailing Label.

Return of Tama:
3.1. You are responsible for mailing back your tama.
3.2. It is your responsibility to ensure that the tama is securely and safely packaged to prevent any damage during transit.
3.3. We will not refund any differences in shipping charges or reimburse for personal postage you select outside our website.

Processing Time:
4.1. The entire process of applying Cushion Clear can take between 4-6 weeks, excluding shipping time between you and us.
4.2. We strive to complete the Cushion Clearing process within the specified time frame, but cannot guarantee an exact completion date.

Acceptance of Tamas:
5.1. Only Standard Size Tamas with a diameter of 60-63mm will be accepted for Clearing.
5.2. We prefer unplayed and new tamas for Cushion Clearing, but also accept played products.
5.3. The condition of the tama received can greatly affect the bonding and adherence of the Clear Coat.
5.4. The more used an item is, the less likely the Clear Coat will bond properly.
5.5. We reserve the right to refuse any item received if we feel it is unable to be properly cushion cleared

Refunds, Replacements, and Exchanges:
6.1. Once the item has been shipped to us, we cannot offer any refunds, replacements, or exchanges.
6.2. By purchasing this service, you accept the risk that the Cushion Clearing Process may not work perfectly with every item received, and we cannot compensate you for any unforeseen circumstances that negatively affect the outcome or the quality of your submitted item.

Liability:
7.1. We strive to provide high-quality service; however, we cannot guarantee the success of the Cushion Clearing Process for every tama.
7.2. We are not liable for any damage, loss, or dissatisfaction arising from the use of our Service.
7.3. You agree to hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities related to the Cushion Clearing Service.
